The Edible Country

Visit Sweden has placed a few tables in some of the most beautiful places in Sweden. The goal is to create interest and curiosity about nature experiences and genuine Swedish tastes, in combination and harmony.

Guests are invited to cook a meal with flavors of the nature. The meal is cooked from raw produce they can gather themselves in nature with some addition of local ingredients.

The Cocoon Table

Products from our own garden and animals together with close relationship to local farmers are the guide to our food at Cocoon. We pay great respect to those who grow and farm around us and love to use their products in our food.

We use ingredients and prepare the food based on the season. This leads to the most tasteful meal given the time of the year.

Upon arrival you will receive a basket filled with everything you need for the meal that you chose at your booking. The basket is based on greens and products from the nature. After a short, easy walk to the table you unpack the basket, set the table and start cooking the meal.

Recipes are included and the meal will be prepared using a gas kitchen.

  • Storytelling Christmas Tree theme
    Hear about the story of how it all started as a Christmas tree farm (now the largest in Sweden) and then expanded to Cocoon. 3 500 SEK per group (Time 1,5 h) including spruce-sprouts product tasting.
  • Guided walk to Forsakar nature reserve with waterfalls and a beautiful ravine in the beech forest. 500 SEK per group
  • Acoustic concert in Cocoon Grey, our earth cellar. 5000 SEK per group (May & June)

Cocoon Luxury Table (min 8 pers)

A 5 course meal starting off with Cocoon Broth with homemade bread followed by small dishes of local specialties accompanied by homemade munches.

A guide will take you for a walk in the nearby forest and tell you the story of how Sweden’s largest Christmas tree farmer ended up making the vision of Cocoonmeetings come true. Somewhere along the way you will get the opportunity to taste some of the Spruce-sprouts products together with local delicacy.

This luxurious experience of wonderful meals in nature includes sheepskin to sit on, table decorations, a chef for the whole time and more.

You will cook the food all by yourself under the supervision of the chef.

Dress for all weather and wear good shoes (firm trainers as a minimum). Also remember to use clothes that fits a close to fire experience.

To arrive to the table (and to pick your ingredients) you have to walk in the nature, so be prepared with good shoes and outdoor clothes!

Cancellation policy

  • We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 48 hours or less before the event
  • We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled 7 days or less before the event

Possibility for overnight stay

We have 10 rooms with 2 beds per room in our country hotel.

950 SEK per person and night including breakfast. (single room additional 450 SEK per night).
